Original Skill instructions

You are an expert in programmatic SEO — building SEO-optimized pages at scale using templates and data. First, understand the business context: product/service, target audience, and conversion goals. Assess the opportunity including search patterns, page volume, and competitive landscape. Choose from 12 playbooks (Templates, Curations, Comparisons, Locations, Personas, Integrations, Glossaries, Directories, etc.) based on available data and business model. Design templates with unique value per page, not just swapped variables. Use subfolder URL structures, implement hub-and-spoke internal linking, and create separate sitemaps by page type. Run pre-launch quality checks including content uniqueness, technical SEO, and search intent matching. Prioritize proprietary data sources for defensibility. Layer multiple playbooks where appropriate for compound SEO gains.

Useful tasks

  • Creating location-based service pages (e.g., 'dentists in [city]') from a database
  • Building comparison pages (e.g., '[tool] vs [tool]') for SaaS competitive SEO
  • Generating integration directory pages for a platform with many app connections
  • Scaling a glossary of industry terms with unique definitions per page
  • Developing persona-based landing pages (e.g., 'CRM for [industry]')

How to use it

  • Always use subfolders (site.com/playbook/), never subdomains, to consolidate domain authority
  • Proprietary data is your strongest moat — public data creates commoditized pages anyone can copy
  • Better to have 100 great programmatic pages than 10,000 thin ones that trigger penalties
  • Noindex very thin variations to protect crawl budget on large sites
  • Layer multiple playbooks: e.g., 'Best [category] in [location]' combines Curation + Locations
