Privacy Policy
This policy describes the account, profile, submission, community, media, analytics, and security data used by the current EcomAgentTools service, including Google sign-in, Cloudflare infrastructure, automated URL analysis, and your deletion choices.
Account and profile information
EcomAgentTools uses Google sign-in. Google provides a stable account identifier, verified email address, display name, profile image, and any locale included in the sign-in response. We do not request access to Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, or passwords.
You may add a public handle, bio, ecommerce roles, store platforms, AI experience, operating details, and a preference about displaying your Google profile image. Your email and Google account identifier are not shown on your public profile.
Content and activity you provide
We store Tools and Skills you submit, blog drafts, comments, ratings, favorites, collections, reports, ownership or management claims, reviewer applications, support messages, uploaded logos and screenshots, and the review history connected to those records.
A submitted URL and the public information fetched from it may be stored with an analysis job. We use the request IP address to enforce daily analysis limits and investigate abuse. Resource view, install, and copy analytics use a hashed first-party session identifier instead of storing the raw IP address.
Cookies, analytics, and security
A secure, HttpOnly session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 14 days. Cloudflare hosts and protects the service, stores application data and images, and provides Turnstile checks on protected forms. Turnstile evaluates browser and request signals to reduce automated abuse.
We use Google Analytics to understand page visits, traffic sources, sessions, approximate location, and browser or device categories. Google Analytics may set first-party cookies such as _ga. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but blocking the session cookie prevents signed-in features from working.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, save drafts, publish directory and blog content, show public attribution, calculate aggregate usage and community scores, manage favorites and collections, review reports and ownership claims, prevent abuse, answer support requests, and maintain audit records.
Submitted URLs and content may be processed by automated analysis, translation, image, and notification services. These systems help extract public product facts, prepare bilingual content, retrieve public images, and send operational messages. Publication and moderation decisions remain subject to the EcomAgentTools review workflow.
What becomes public
Published resources and articles can show the submitted title, description, source links, images, provider or author attribution, pricing and compatibility facts, and editorial analysis. Approved comments, ratings, aggregate counters, and public collection details may also be visible.
A public profile can show your handle, display name, bio, selected ecommerce experience, contributions, and profile image when you enable it. Drafts, pending-review content, email addresses, notification settings, and private collections are not public.
Service providers and external sites
Google provides sign-in and site analytics. Cloudflare provides hosting, Workers, database and object storage, traffic analytics, and Turnstile. We may also use operational email and automated analysis, translation, or image-processing providers. Each provider receives only the information needed for the relevant function and processes it under its own terms.
Following a product, source, GitHub, Product Hunt, or other external link sends you to a third-party site. That site receives the technical information normally sent by your browser and applies its own privacy policy.
Retention, deletion, and your choices
We keep account and content records while they are needed to operate the service, review publication history, resolve ownership or moderation disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal or security obligations. Deduplication records for first-party resource events are periodically removed after roughly 95 days; aggregate counts may remain.
Deleting your account revokes active sessions and removes your public display name and profile image. Published contributions, submission history, moderation decisions, security records, and audit logs may remain or be anonymized when needed to preserve the integrity of the directory. Account deletion is therefore not the same as immediate erasure of every record.
You can edit public profile fields, notification preferences, favorites, and collections from your dashboard. To request access, correction, or deletion that is not available there, email [email protected] and identify the account or page involved.
Policy changes and contact
We do not sell personal information. We may update this policy when the service, providers, or data practices change. The updated date on this page identifies the current version.
Questions and privacy requests can be sent to [email protected]. Do not include passwords, API keys, customer records, or other secrets in your message.
